Alison Wright (born in England) is an English actress. She was nominated for Emmy awards in 2017 in her role of Martha Hanson, the star of FX's historical spy series The Americans. In addition, she has appeared on the Ryan Murphy limited series Feud: Bette & Joan and Hollywood. Wright was born in Sunderland on July 12, 1976. Her upbringing was influenced by her adoptive family. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She studied at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute as well as The Barrow Group in New York City. The waitressing gig was cut short by auditions for various roles. The love of her life, scuba, had put her in an insanity when diving at sea, she experienced a heart attack. Her family flew in to help her in the hospital just six days after her passing. Wright was born in Sunderland on the 12th of July in 1976. The parents she adopted took care of her in the city. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She studied with her in New York City at The Barrow Group and The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Alison Fesq Haislip is an American actor and television host on Attack of the Show! The Voice, NBC's singing reality series The Voice and G4's first version of the show.
